Beautiful B.C.

Near Janae and Kelly's condo is a beautiful walk along the seawall. It's always one of our favorite things to do there. Theirs too. A new convention center (above) is beautiful and "green". Has a grass roof. We had a great weekend with them. Friday night a play, BBQ at their house and walk ending with dessert at wonderful restaurant near Canada Place in the train station.

On Saturday we headed up Howe Sound to Whistler. It is a magnificent drive. My photo from the car window doesn't do it justice.

Whistler Village was a very busy place. There were bikers flying down the mountain, skiers lugging their skis back from up on the glaciers and a lot of us--walking around looking for cold drinks. It was HOT!
We stayed the night in Pemberton at a lodge(below) that Kelly and Janae had stayed at before. It was very nice~ Great pool that was so warm we cooled off in the cold shower beside it! Had dinner at a cute little place called The Pony, -- amazing food. Chefs from England and France have relocated to this quiet, quaint place. The next morning we were at Betty's enjoying our Sunday. She and her husband have lived here for 50 years. Such a sweet couple.

We arrived home to a "reflected" stormy sunset...but alas..no rain. Just more heat to come. We loved BC once again Janae and Kelly--thanks!
