Practicing for summer
It was a beautiful weekend. Janae and Kelly and their friends Gord and Michelle came for their "May-long" weekend. The weather cooperated--it was summer-- and we had a great time. We went to Deception Pass for a picnic on Saturday. Friday, Justin came up and spent the day fishing with Terry. The fish weren't hungry but it was a beautiful day to be out on the water. This poor little row-boat had quite a time. The kids were hiking around and saw them later caught in the swirl of the cross currents, known here to be ferocious, and all they had was a trolling motor. They finally made it to shore and hoisted it up on a van. They might pick a lake next time. Brats and coleslaw Hmm...looks like a Krispy Kreme coffee cup. Did you know their coffee is now a dime? Yep--really! And it's really good coffee, esp with a donut~
We moved from the desert to the mountains. Terry is still having fun adding rustic touches to our log home. Lots of pleasant surprises! We're loving it here. Yes, it rains but how else do you get this beautiful scenery?
