.....a day with auntie

Sherry and I join Bonnie and Auntie (93) for an afternoon of music and reminiscing...very special! Auntie shared with us some very special memories of the "early years" in Medicine Lake, Mt. My mom and Sherry's dad were part of that sibling clan growing up by the lake.

Below is the view from her condo of the gorgeous sunsets over Whidbey Island.

The "rat rod"...makes everyone smile...

Terry's brother-in-law Ken built this car from the ground up..literally. Ken is on the left, Terry driving and nephew Geoff (who persuaded Terry to drive it). It is really quite an "eye-popper" and fun to ride in. The suspension puts you right down on the pavement. Maybe that's the emergency brake? Quite a car! That's Terry's sister Marianne below with Geoff's and Lynette's dogs. Geoff and Lynette live in Brooklyn, NY so it was nice to see them for a bit.

Aaahhh...the beautiful Northwest!

Janae turns 27 (count the fingers!) and her family and friends have bday cake(that Kelly brought) with us--Suzanne, Sheila and Ryan and Justin, Ben and Sue. Off to Miltown 2 in the morning.

Ben and Sue stayed with us during convention (forgot to get a picture, can you believe that?) and we very much enjoyed that. Our days at Miltown were wonderful. Words really can't explain it but we are thankful.

kids + dog

What a cute bunch. Lachlan, Cohen, Natalia and Johanna entertain our neighbor's dog "Bone". He's pretty much older than dirt but struggles laboriously up the hill to the smell of the BBQ.

Happy Birthday Kari!

One of our "girls" Kari turned 27 at preps today! Lachlan and Cohen and Jermaine help deliver her "cake" and balloons. When we arrived this morning she was dressed as a "vintage" gal, dressed fit to kill. Lots of good laughs on that one!!

...special friends....

We were so happy to get a little chunk of Jeff and Debbie's time. They are here visiting kids, family and friends. We loved our time with them in Prague last Christmas where they gave a "royal" Czech tour of their area. How special to "feel" their contentment in their useful spot!!
Jeff and Terry got out on the lake. Jeff loved that as it had been awhile. Terry stayed in the boat. :o)
